According to Rob Zombie it's not a remake of the first Halloween. But, it really is, isn't it?

I'm really looking forward to this. Althought I am stronly against remakes, especially this one but I think Zombie will do this justice. He did an amazing job on the devil's rejects and he is a true horror fan. He also said that he wouldnt' do the film if he didnt' think that he had something new and interesting to bring to it.

Wel, after seeing House of 1000 and Devil's Rejects recently, I have great great faith in Rob for H9. As long as he cuts out the gore and goes around this in the right way.
It's a sequel in a sense as we are seeing something newish but going back to 1978.
If anything, he likes the classic look and wardrobe as do I. Very much so. But one word of warning, if Rob messes this up I'm gonna do to him what the clown threatened to do to that boy:
'I'm gonna kill your whole f***ing family!
Be careful Zombie!

So with a revisit on the original Halloween (so people say) and a remake of Hellraiser on the horizon, which american-made horror film will get re-done next? XD
*awaits the notification of a casting call to Betsy Palmer*

All I know is if they make a re-make of ANOES I'm going to do much worse than Dr. Satan. I think Hollywood has run out of ideas for horror, so they're making re-makes just to get some cash on hand. I'm ok with re-makes as long as it has the same actors, better effects and better acting. But I'm not so sure about the re-makes on horror icon series. That just doesn't seem right to me. Why make a re-make when you can make a sequel or a prequel at that? Honestly, there is no point to it other than the money.

Hollywood can do whatever they please and there's nothing they like to do more than make money and this get's them that money...and fast. It's absolutely disgraceful and petitions should be signed but the reason they do it, the MAIN reason is quite simply that they have NO IMAGINATION!
No good movies for the last God knows how many years.

I know! They don't have any imagination. And that's why most of the directors these days suck at their CGI. Like Freddy Vs. Jason, all these movies are A films but the CGI and special effects make them look like B films.

Well I never meant in terms of CGI. I meant in terms of stories. Nonme of thew writers today can get great movies on screen and very few make it.
As for CGI, it makes people lazy and puts a lack of spirit in the film. It shows and as a result people lose a HUGE talent to make and do things on sets.

I do prefer props and fake blood, as well,( i.e ANOES ). But CGI isn't bad all the time. I mean look at POTC 2 for instance. They used CGI and you could barely tell between what was real and what wasn't. Although all the film makers rarely put any effort into their work now-a-days, it's practically uncommon to find a movie like POTC 2. But what I realised is that the horror film industry puts a lot less effort into what they do than the action/adventures do. It's quite obvious.

Well, back on topic here, I don't know much more about this new movie. Buton the official website Rob said it was going to be somewhat of a prequel, not a remake. That's about it. And....I only remember 7 movies. Which one am I missing, here?
