Well I never meant in terms of CGI. I meant in terms of stories. Nonme of thew writers today can get great movies on screen and very few make it. As for CGI, it makes people lazy and puts a lack of spirit in the film. It shows and as a result people lose a HUGE talent to make and do things on sets. I do prefer props and fake blood, as well,( i.e ANOES ). But CGI isn't bad all the time. I mean look at POTC 2 for instance. They used CGI and you could barely tell between what was real and what wasn't. Although all the film makers rarely put any effort into their work now-a-days, it's practically uncommon to find a movie like POTC 2. But what I realised is that the horror film industry puts a lot less effort into what they do than the action/adventures do. It's quite obvious. YES! Exactely. Excellent reference there. I forgot all about the outside world while wtching that movie. It just doesn't happen to me anymore. That movie MASTERED CGI. But that's when it was INAVOIDABLE. I think CG should be avoided as much as possible and used only when needed to. Even at that, it should have HUGE effort thrown in. Well..lessee. Halloween, HalloweenII, III, 4 & 5, H20 & Resurrection. If this is 9, then I'm certainly missing one, yes? o.0 Yes, you are. Halloween Halloween 2 Halloween 3: Season of the Witch (nothing to do with Michael and utter trash. Worst movie ever made hands down) Halloween 4: The Return of Michael Myers Halloween 5: The Revenge of Michael Myers Halloween 6: The Curse of Michael Myers H20: 20 Years Later Halloween: Ressurection I have seen them all. I thought it was common horror knowledge and even if you're not a fan. You may be confused cause there was aboxset out at one point that (I can't remember) cut out either part 3 or part 6 for some whacked reason. I don't own any of the movies so although I consider Michael almost my fav icon, I am not very knowledgable in Halloween. This is cause they won't release damn special editions in a boxed set EDIT ~ Nightmare Master Please do not double post.

Yeah..my cousin told me about it. The reason is, I looked up Halloween on Blockbuster & they didn't list 6. So I got to wondering..

Sometimes they don't stock certain ones.

Sometimes they don't stock certain ones. Yeah, because some are more popular than others, and we all know what they're going for. I was working on seeing the whole Hellraiser series, but after I got past Part 2, I found they didn't carry 3.

The original was pure CLASSIC. I loved the original, and by remaking it, obviously will ruin the series.

I'm not found of remakes either but I don't think that they ruin the original series. The Hillls Have Eyes is a very good movie though but I haven't seen the original so I can't compare.
One thing that really sucks with remakes is when they make sequels/prequels to them.

The new Texas Chainsaw Massacre flick seems really bad… I'm glad that Leatherface got his arm chopped of in the remake and that, eh… what was his name again…, Hoyt was ran over by that car. No sequel will be made, that's for sure! I just hope that they won't make like 5 prequels.

Just saw it, and wow is that poster in the first post here out of date XD
It's not going to blow people completely away, but I thought that for a remake it was very well done. My only gripes are that they forgot to add injuries to the victim of the "Meyers skull-squeeze", and the fact that Zombie let a bit of his fixation on the ever-swearing white trash subculture work its way into the Meyers family. That bit was just annoying.
The rest of it was good though. He kept a fair amount of the original music, and I liked seeing Don't Fear the Reaper and Tom Sawyer used in it.
Oddly enough though, I think I found kid-Michael scarier than adult-Michael.
Blah, I may just get the soundtrack XD

Well I'm glad somebody was happy with it.
Rob Zombie screwed with a classic, and for that I'm PO'd. I would have been perfectly fine with the whole backstory thing, but the remake bit was just upsetting.

It won't come to Sweden until October or November, I think. I'll have to wait…
