Eh, bit of a letdown IMO. The whole "You've been drugged!" thing is overdone. Pinhead literally going after 'net users..THAT'D be fun

Not just a letdown, if you ask me. Hellraiser Hellworld really really sucked, by far the worst of the Hellraiser series. Better yet, it's probably one of the worst horrorfilms I've seen in years!

I think it's like Jason X: reliant on expectation. If you read up a bit beforehand and watch the thing expecting it to be this somewhat ludicrious B-movie camp; you're more impressed than you would be if you put it in the DVD-player expecting the old 80's style horror of the original Hellraiser.

I practically lost my mind, whilst watching this. It was really off the subject of the series. I mean, seriously, it's just crazy. I haven't seen it in a while, but to me, it made no sense what-so-ever. It is like Jason X.

The premise taks a bit to figure out, but in short; the group of kids were all Hellraiser fanatics, until one of them discovered that the real Lament Configuration actually DID work, and killed himself because of it. Thus in comes mr. pissed-off-daddy blaming his son's friends. IMO, if they'd wanted this to be a bit more successful; they should have done the son's backstory first to not only bring back the box as a REAL thing instead of an online animation, but give people some sort of sequel-esque feel that the early films had.

To be frank (no pun intended) it was trash, as many of the later productions have been, the concept was simple, stupidly amusing and as it appears from production to production, moving farther and farther away from the ethos Mr Barker was attempting to portray with the initial work...but perversity sells and for a certain Market it has no need to be subtle.

Hellworld really pissed me off, due to the fact that Pinhead was predominantly a hallucination right up until the end. I mean it's his fuggin movie, it's him I want to see, not some old bugger with a grudge and a serious need for therapy.
