I think its the best movie to mix all the legendry characters together and have the Wolfman kick Drac's Butt back to where he came from. It has its moments of fright for some ppl, where things just pop out of nowhere and being from the same man that brought us The Mummy and The Mummy Returns, you can know if you liked those movies you'll most likely like this one.

meh, as I recall this one came in on the heels of one of the X-Men movies, so Hugh Jackman was sort of a publicity pull for it. Without his name there, I don't think this one would've gotten as much attention as it did.
Movie-wise; my favorite character was the Frankenstein Monster. He actually showed some real personality development among others, whereas all Van Hellsing did was look tough, shoot creatures, and revert to an emo at the end. Effects were okay, though nothing to ooh and aah over.
Though I will say; the Dracula-walking-on-the-walls bit was nice.
(PS: if you want a movie that really "mixes all the legendry characters together", aim for League of Extraordinary Gentlemen )

I find it ironic that Richard Roxburgh didn't get the girl in Moulin Rouge (he played the duke) and in Van Helsing he had three brides. Compensation?
