Brought about by the use of a new, radiation emitting device intended to destroy insect's nervous systems, the dead are brought back to life due to the jump start the radiation provides to their nervous systems. After the murder of a woman's estranged husband, police suspect the woman, her sister and a relative stranger (who was only along because the sister had run into his motorcycle only hours prior) of involvement in the murder, and as the bodies begin to accumulate the police chief becomes more and more convinced of their involvement.

This movie... Well, first thing that needs to be said: it's a Spanish film (made in England with what I assume are English actors). Spanish and Italian zombie horror films from the 70's and 80's aren't usually very good. In fact, the vast majority of them suck outright. Let Sleeping Corpses Lie is one of the better films of this type. And that's saying a lot, at first. The beginning and about half of the middle are excellent. There's an excellent plot about radiation and sound waves. The characters are likeable enough. The one thing that hurts the movie before the zombies show up is an a**h*le police detective. The movie really starts going downhill when we see the zombie waking up the other zombies with blood. And, we realize they have superhuman strength. I hated that. A lot. But after that scene in the cemetery, the movie starts getting better. The ending though, features a horrible scene at a hospital where the zombies rip a nurse's breast off. That was gross, sleazy, and pretty hateful. I don't like that in horror movies. But after that, the movie had 1 good final twist. That's where it should have been gorier. But, alas... Anyway, I Give it:
