Oooooh..and you were thinking "Duplicate thread? WTF?" Sorry. This isn't the new and shiny CG'd version with alien-jet Megatron and a Camaro Bumblebee. This is the old one..where Starscream had a screechy whine of a voice and Eric Idle ran a Junkion assault against the autobot refugees while "Dare to be Stupid" played in the background. Yeah yeah...I can see how some might think this was overly cheesy and just plain silly...which it was. But that's just fine, because this movie managed such things in the right doses so as to produce something that just plain felt fun. Oh, and while it's nothing new today, this little thing was something unheard of for an animated film. Orson Welles (Unicron) Leonard Nimoy (Galvatron) Eric Idle (Wreck-Gar) ...Really didn't expect to see that many big-name actors in a cheesy animated movie based off a saturday morning cartoon from the 80's did you?

Of course, i grew during that point and transformers was such a massive franchise, i remember heated debates as a child in regards to who would actually beat...*enter autobot, deceptacon name if you will*.....it was so much fun, zoids were entertaining but a transforming toy?!?!? heh it makes me smile thinking back.
As i mentioned,i think nothing of seeing highly recognised actors in something like this...back then we had creativity, and it was so invigorating, what troubles me is the new production, this is just an excuse to rehash and reuse(even basterdise) other older works to make money and keep a dying industry alive...well its only a matter of time until they run out of things to remake ..unless of course they start to remake everything every six months...hell the mainstream populace would still probable pay for it as well...i just want to cry
