I would have to say part one. The first time I saw it,I faked being sick so I wouldn't have to school. My mom took me to the docs and afterwords we went to the movies. I somehow begged her and she caved in. LOL

It's hard to pick between the first and the second Hellraiser, but finally I picked Hellbound. Part 3 and 4 were pretty fun too, but the rest was just allot of big crap. Inferno, Hellseeker, Deader and especially Hellworld were really bad movies, where Pinhead was shown for like three minutes in total. Thank God Rick Bota never directed a Nightmare on Elm Street film!

Eh, I'll give Hellseeker some credit for bringing Kirsty back (same actress too) and centering the film more around man's strangely perverse pain/pleasure side that was barely skimmed in the first movie with Frank.

But when I saw what Bota did with the film, I was very dissapointed. They didn't do enough with her or Pinhead's character.

Actually, little time with Pinhead is sort of what Clive Barker always aimed for. I know that he probably didn't anticipate that little action, but I read that he was disappointed with the "Freddy" role they gave Pinhead in Film 3 and other sequels.

Hellbound for me. Although, I would have picked Part 1 for the regenerating body process, but it's in Part 2 as well, so that's one reason why I picked it. Another reason is that I liked the plot and the way Pinhead remembered being human at one of the end scenes.

I liked Bloodline, simply because the cenobites were all so cool (come on, Angelique and the Chatter Beast were wicked) and the action was good-ish.

To be honest the only one I was dissappointd in was Hellworld. I still have to see Hellraiser, Hellbound, Hell on Earth, the second half of Inferno, and Prophecy. I hate the movie rental place in town. It blows.

To be fully honest… I have only watched Hellraiser and Hellbound. But according to you they are the best so I guess that i picked the ultimate "start-kit". I really love them.

For me the second production was a better insight into all that we should not know or see and our dirty little pleasures were not without consequence. The rest was nothing more that a pitiful excuse for milking a dying(even at that time) market, once production and value become more than story we are ...well in the position we are in now, where even poor production of the off handed style(that almost seems allowed) silent hill for an example is classed as good?!?, its poor and it seems we have forgotten what it means to be scared

Well it seems the second is the crowd favorite.
