I would say that Mr Bradley’s talent at portraying pin head, has had an incredible effect on the l work as a whole. Though i truly enjoyed the written work, i was pleasantly surprised at how the notion of, sometimes, subtle perversion was port raid during the first two films, Mr Bradley, in many ways due to either his talents and maybe appreciation of the role has in many ways for me surpassed the creations of the written work and has, in my humble opinion shaped the entity that is pin head.
I would also respectfully wish to bring to light ,my confusion with the decision that with the pathetically terrible storylines of more than one of the series (3-8), and with the notion that the parody that hell raiser had become should be rectified by removal of the one figure that carried the series( perhaps a deviation in script and plot styles would have been a far better option).
By removal of an intrinsic ingredient ( in the eyes of true followers and those who appreciate the subtlety that has been lost within the series, but still observed, due to the personification of the notion underlying hell raiser and its figure head) there is no conceivable reason why one should watch this( hell raiser 9) or any other following production.
Maybe a crack gangster cenobite will be the next main item...he may even attempt to, and i use the term very very lightly....... sing.
Its an atrocity that any originality within this industry is devolved into a needy grasping stream of sequels; to attempt to cash on the original idea.
Ii would just recommend stopping now ,buying a bottle of industrial strength drain cleaner/spirits, take your fill and gutt yourself

Greetings, all, Thanks for the interest in HRP. Just wanted to address a few points, however. First off, HELLRAISER: PROPHECY is not an official film, it's only a fan film. There are still only 8 Hellraiser films. Secondly, as mentioned, Pinhead was omitted from the script because I didn't want the obvious comparisons drawn to Doug Bradley. Let's face it: Doug Bradley IS Pinhead. Others have tried, some with more success than the others, but with the resources I had at the time, it didn't seem like the right way to go. That being said, there ARE cenobites in this film, cenobites that fans should recognize: Angelique (from HR4) is the lead cenobite this time around, Butterball, Spike (from HR7 deleted scenes) and Bound (HR6 version) are all seen. This fan film was intended as a crossover story between the HELLRAISER mythos and the storyline of the PROPHECY films. (Yes, the ones with Christopher Walken.) The plot was intended to intersect the storylines WITHOUT "breaking the rules" of either. While I would love to have had Doug Bradley play Pinhead in my little fan film (and let's face it: he wouldn't even if I had asked), I felt the best way to go about it would be to choose a different cenobite. And rather than view this as "removing an intrinsic ingredient," I think of it as "choosing a different seasoning of the same basic dish." Granted, the seasoning is far less satisfying, but ultimately (to continue the culinary analogy) roast lamb may sometimes be a more palatable alternative to filet mignon than meatloaf. Regardless, I do think of this less as shunning the Hellraiser fan community, and more as embracing the other elements of the Hellraiser mythos that extend beyond the films. Fiction and, most notably, the comics told rich and compelling stories about the Hellraiser mythology, most of which involved cenobites OTHER than Pinhead. And it those stories that I sought to emulate in my efforts. In the end, HRP is not a great film. It may or may not even be a good film. But, it is, in my opinion, a solid Hellraiser story, created and realized by a team of biologists trying this out for the first time, doing it for free, just to tell the story. If it's viewed in the company of other fan films, like HELLBENT: A HELLRAISER CHRONICLE, Gary Tunnicliffe's NO MORE SOULS, THE HELLRAISER CHRONICLES: A QUESTION OF FAITH, WORDSWORTH, SKANKOBITE, HELLRAISER: ANUTHER DIMENSION (yes, that's the spelling) or even, yes, HELLRAISER: APOCALYPSE, it definitely holds it own as an earnest Hellraiser story told the best way it could have been, given limited resources and training. If you compare it against the studio HELLRAISER films (1-8), you'll clearly be disappointed. We didn't have studio funding or resources. But then, it was never meant to compete with them, so much as complement and compliment them. Awesome fan film. Most are laughable at best, but it's obvious a lot of effort and thought went into this. I thought it was really good. Bravo.

{off topic}:We only have 5 Hellraiser movies in the UK ...i think that's what i read in IMBD Nooo.. you can't have a Hellraiser film without pinhead... that would be like a book with out writing... it would just be empty....
