Notes: Friday the 13th Part V: A New Beginning is removed, since Jason wasn't even really in it.
Jason Takes Manhattan is removed due to continuity screw-ups.
Jason Goes to Hell: The Final Friday is also removed due to continuity screw ups.
Freddy vs. Jason is removed because of it being a merger and not a sole Friday film.

Did you like Freddy vs. Jason?

Yes, but I didn't list it here because it's a crossover; not an established title series.

I liked the Friday series in all truth. I even liked part 5 which was a shock. But I think it's cause you can watch these movies and not have to think. They're just a rip roaring good time. Unlike Halloween or Elm Street where brain comes into play, at these movies you can let loose.
My fave, is part 6. Just cause it has some action, great stunts, takes the story to a WHOLE NEW level. Just genious.
Part 7, even though it has my man Kane Hodder, the best, it was dry to me. Too dry. I mean I gfot angry when I saw the cuts made with the gore cause I would have liked it better if the gore was in there, trust me.

The fun bit of the cast in #7 is that they had Jeff Bennet XD

I found the acting in part 6 the most believable and the best, next to part 7 of course. But I do think Kane Hodder was the best Jason, I think Mr. Cunningham had more things to do with the character in part 6.

In some peoples' eyes; yes. The overall reaction to it however is that it was a flop.
My thought is; it was a fun, campy sci-fi-ish movie. It wasn't a legit part of the Friday the 13th series.
This poll only listed the ones where continuity WITH JASON came into play. That leaves out part V (no Jason) as well as VIII and IX due to a total lack of previous-film continuity on appearance/locations.

My favourite is definitely Final Chapter. Just the way Tommy went psychotic at the end sold it for me.
It initially was supposed to be the last one, but I'm kind of glad it wasn't.

Glad to see others that share my love for part 6. Although I hated the actor who played Jason, it's always been my fav.

i liked 1-5 the best. especially 5. tommy jarvis kicked ass in that movie, so i guess my answer would be "a new beginning" lol edit: dammit, its not up there! i didn't read all that at the top. 3 is my second favorite of the series, so i pick that one. i love poor shelly ;D

All the Friday the 13th movies have some fun elements; even part 5 with the fake Jason and part 9, Jason goes to Hell. I liked the first three films allot and also thought the part 6, 7 and 8 were pretty fun.
But my favourite Friday the 13th film would be Friday the 13th 4: The Final Chapter.
